Are there viable aftermarket stock options for this single shot Savage?

I see a lot of looks but no ideas. Instead I just traded something for a McRees G10 stocked MKII FV-SR with Rifle Basix Trigger.

Just ran across this too late but found it interesting. Below is a link that is a simple modification to make it usable. Personally I have a Traditions Crackshot break action that come apart for easy transport.

JTJ, Years ago I did something similar to a Marlin 70PSS takedown. I attached a M16 trapdoor buttplate on it. Someone actually purchased that "frankengun" off of me.

Looking at the butt plate it does not look like it would be hard to make an extension from wood or a recoil pad. If I was looking for ultra light I would cut the stock behind the grip and bend some aluminum flat stock.

One time I watched a big bearded fella buy a pink Rascal and took a lot of kidding from his two buddies. He told them he is through with hunting for his rifle at night when they are coon hunting and it was enough gun for what he needed, plus it was light weight. Made sense to me.
