It appears to be the standard Ruger rail for the same price as Ruger gets plus it has free shipping. If I wanted one I would buy it.

Yep, its what I did too! I wanted to keep the rear sight in place and not have the "hang over "on the front of upper.

I've a Mark IV Tatget with the Ruger rail. Kept my rear sights on. Yes, you can use the sights with the rail on. Maybe some of this confusion arises if people install an optic on the rail. With my red dot on, I cannot use the sights.....obviously.

The Ruger rail is a lot less expensive and about two minutes with a hacksaw and file will let you install it so the rear sight stays in place and it doesn't overhang the front of the receiver.
