I have Volquartsen forward blow and TandemKross compensator and they are hard to clean and get dirty quick but they do look cool

I find the Volq forward blow comps pretty easy to clean. I use them on my Scorpionss and my Volq 22 rifles in steel challenge competitions. They are almost a necessity in steel challenge as they help the timer pick up each shot. I soak my comps in the 50/50 mix of peroxide and white vinegar for several hours to soften the build up. Works for me and does not seem to have any adverse effect on the finish of the comps. The two comps I have on the trading post are the longer ones builts mainly for a rifle. Being made of aluminum they are still very light. I bought them as back ups but find I am not going to use them

I have the VQ compensator on my Mamba and I normally was cleaning it with the 50/50 solution of Ammonia and Hydrogen Chloride but recently VQ came out with a Comp Buster that you screw into the comp after you take it off and just turn it until it stops.

Wow does it work. Best $20 I've spend on the gun. I can clean the comp in seconds.

Go to Volquartsen's website and check it out.
