That one's a beauty, Jack..

Darned hard to hit, especially on the lower ones.

Good shooting!

My first try at Fun Shool

This is my first try at this......Just got a new Cz457 Boyds- AT.... still working on which ammo works the best. It is a bit cold here in Idaho. Today at the range...wind was really blowing and a bit chilly (temp was 40 and 10mph from left to right ) . but it was the last day I could get to the range... So here it is... I shot at 8X on Leo 4.5-14 scope. CCI STD vel 40 gr 1070fps

score? 110pts 1st time let me know if I did it right.

First of all, welcome to the Fun Shoots, IdahoBirdhunter .

The scoring is correct as I see it, you did good!

In the future please use this format when entering a target:

RFC Alias,__________, First name__________
Score w/ bonus________,Class________,
Scope______________, Iron sights,________
Rifle make,________, Ammo,_________
Weather conditions____________
Excuses__

It keeps us on an even keel...

A 457, that's seldom seen at my range. You'll be shooting class 3 targets by Spring.

Welcome to the fun shoots IdahoBirdhunter. Do invite some friends to join in. Looks like you did fine in windy conditions.

A good friend of mine just got home from the Rockies on a 5 week Holiday. He caught trout from Co. to Wy. to Idaho and then got a Mule deer in your state. He then went back to Co. for Elk but the blizzard chased him home.

I would guess Class II. Modified Hunting/Sporting Rifle because of the stock. Is the forearm of the stock less than 2" wide. If more than 2" the rules say Class III. I am not familiar with that rifle at all. Just googled it.

Jim, I have a 455 (Boyds) varmint, 24" threaded barrel.

Technically a class 2 rifle, I like to shoot class 2 & 3 targets.

I hope this helps...

30 degrees this morning

(working on the targets for Nov.)

You guys are posting some good targets.

Between weather and conflicts (high power and shotgun matches..lol) I won't get a target in this month.

I'm hoping to shoot next month's matches though.

Thanks guys,
We're still waffling back and forth between cold and warm. It's mostly cool wet weather with a few balmy sunny days mixed in. Typical maritime weather.

I expect we'll get an early winter storm in November, then it'll back off until January before winter really sets in to stay.

Good job on a tough target! Them little boogers at the bottom seem to dance around some. Years ago a gun shop at Erie had some well used CM2's on the shelf. I handled a few and what a fantastic trigger. I just didn't know anything about them. Came home and did some research and decided to get one next trip up. They were gone 2 weeks later when I stopped in.
