I am glad to get them. Trying to figure out a low velocity load that is fun to shoot and not punishing. My high-velocity years are over.

Look at cowboy loads. Thatís what I did for my 44mag. I also got too old for the recoil of heavy loads. Really donít need heavy loads for fun shooting.

For really high power 45 Long Colt reloads, Paco has advice. Not to be used on most guns, mainly appropriate for just modern Blackhawk revolvers and Winchester 92 clones.

Thanks for the link as I just bought a pair of new SS Taurus 6.5" 454 Raging Bulls. Here's a very funny Gun Test article from 20 years ago saying if you need that much power use a rifle & you can buy factory ammo now a lot hotter than back then. My 1st handgun I bought on my 1st birthday I was legal to own one was a 7.5" Ruger Super Blackhawk & the 1st thing I shot was a rabbit which all I found were the ears. At my age I don't need a 454 casull but just couldn't resist the price $469/ea shipped new. Until I get to reload for it I plan on Underwood 240gr HPs at 1900 fps & 1921 ft pds. A bit more than a heavy loaded 12 ga slug gun.
