Scope for Winchester 250 Lever Action

Hello,

I would like to put a scope on the new to me Winchester 250 I just purchased. Put 100 rounds through it at the range today and with my old eyes I had a hard time putting everything together. Any Recommendations?

Well you just can't beat a nice 4x Leupold rimfire scope. (or for that matter a nice 4x Weaver scope) which just happens to be on sale right now. These smaller in length scopes just look better a top a lever action rifle. I'm a big fan of Weaver .22 quadlock rings for the 3/8 dovetail

Leupold $199.00 https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1362569658/

Weaver $159.00 https://www.natchezss.com/weaver-cla...-er-matte.html

Rings https://www.natchezss.com/weaver-qua...ver-matte.html

Remember with optics you get what you pay for. Pay once, cry once!

Good Luck

Thanks for the recommendations, unfortunately my account will not allow either one of those at this time. Will wait and use the original iron for now, thanks.

Look around for a vintage Weaver D4, D6 or V22 3x6 7/8" tube scope. You can probably get one under 50.00 bucks and they look right on vintage .22s. The older ones have glass lens and are much better that the irons on the gun. Or get a Simmons 22Mag 1" scope. They are also good.

Check E-bay for a good K-2.5 or K-4 Weaver, or a little Bushnell 4x32 Sportview. Any one of those are great scopes for a vintage .22 rifle, and can usually be had around the $50 mark. Personally, I wouldn't go over 4x, especially if I planned on hunting with it. My opinion only.

Good Luck,

Mac

I agree with Scooter22. The Simmons .22 Mag is hard to beat for the money.

This fits my budget much better at this time. Will head to the local store to pick one up tomorrow. Thanks for all of the suggestions and responses.
