Hi all. I'm working on a lite weight build using a GM Sporter barrel. My question is does anyone still make a fingergrove reproduction stock? I seen one in a pic over in the super stock forum, but it was from about 10 years ago. The maker was Turk. I could find nothing on Google. Hoping you guys can point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.
I guess light weight is subjective to each user,. I'll be good if the finished rifle weighs between 7 and 7.5 pounds including scope, sling and loaded magazine. Really like the look of the fingergrove stocks. Will leave it in the carbine stock till I find a fingergrove at a price I'm willing to pay.
Am wondering if anyone has any experience with Richards microfit stocks? Just looking at there website. I don't mind doing the finishing work on it and there prices seen really good for a Walnut stock. Thanks

It's Blonde.. finger-grooved and Schnabel.

That's a purty stock. I have two walnut Tuck finger-groove stocks in my possession, one sporter and one heavy taper. Might put them on the T.P. soon, have to snap some pics.

Ol' Hipshot did that FG and Schnabel... he did several for me about 6-7 years back. He was a Master stock builder/modifier.

cool new he was a car guy. Just glad to hear he is still on the right side of the grass.
I picked up a beater '70 FG for $250 a while back.
3 problems......
RF Sports didn't have GM 20" in stock (now does yay!).
Brownells out of matte black Gunkote
and.........I'd need to refinish the stock.
Think just slap on the bbl and run as is..........top it off w a 4X Leupold compact and call it done.
Bought an Andys Leather sling for it. Pretty cool.
