XT-22 Scope Base??

Log in to see fewer ads
I've noticed on my XT22 receiver, there are holes drilled that now have filler screws
occupying them. It came this way from the factory. Assuming they were for a scope
base, I have done 'net searches for a base, but find nothing.

Is there such a thing as a scope base for the XT models?

I just use regular tip off mounts on my XT 22M. However, there may be some useful information for you in the following link:
https://www.marlinowners.com/forum/r...pe-mounts.html

Dyson

Don't Marlin rimfire bolt guns come with Weaver style bases from the factory?

I used Weaver #12 bases to mount Weaver rings on my XT22M. No problem.

My XT-22 TSR didn't, maybe they stopped including them?

I used a DNZ mount made for the 917 on my XT-22M. It fit perfectly.

They have black and silver, standard and 25 MOA. However it looks like they are all on backorder right now.

Dnz are definitely the way to go. I use them on every rifle I can (3 10/22s, ruger american ranch, ruger american rimfire, savage mkII, savage axis, 2 marlin 917s, and a marlin xt-22mag). Also consider investing in the dnz nevel. It makes leveling your crosshairs a breeze.

They are great, very solid mounts that don’t require lapping. I have them on several of my rifles too.

No they don't come with bases...you will have to buy them and like Cabin22...I also use Weaver #12 bases for all my Marlin rifles.

Never too Late to Learn!

Well, my, my, my! Certainly came to the right place to ask my question! Thanks,
everyone.

Guess I never before realized Marlin used the same receiver for different models. I
have a 17vs, and should have realized it.

I do have a DIP base on a CZ455 and really like it. Too bad they are on back order,
however, it may be cost effective go with DNZ.

The scope being used is an Athlon Talos and have run into a problem with the bolt
stopping on power ring. In order to have clearance, there needs to be .566" from
top of receiver to bottom of scope, which leads me to the question of which DNZ's
to get, medium or tall?? I would like to keep the scope as close to bore as
possible and still have clearance.

Sure would be nice if all the ring manufacturers would get together and come with
standardized measurements for their low, medium and tall rings!!

According to DNZ’s website the med height rings measure .56 top of receiver to bottom of scope. High is .69-.70

I used the med on my XT22M with a 4-12x40 Simmons scope and have plenty of clearance.

Thank you, Garugerfan! I had looked on their site but could not find it, but tried
again, and there it was.
