I'm interested in the 5mm just because it's a neat rimfire. But I can't touch a rifle for under $450 used, I can't afford a TC, and 5 mm is more than the self defense ammo I buy for both my .38 and my .223. If they made a break action I would be all about it. Any idea why Henry won't make a rimfire break action?

There is a reason Remington 591 and 592 rifles were built to fully enclose the case rim. At the very least they would bulge when not fully enclosed.

Maybe some of you local blokes could contact Henry and ask them about a rimfire, the single shot centrefires look a nice rifle. Would be an easy build if the action was available

Sent Henry an email right after their centerfires came out, a few others did as well. I think at the price Henry sells their centerfires, rimfires would be priced even less for a large underserved single shot market, since H&R disappeared.

I post a lot on my Varminter.com site, including social media. In fact, I just released a video overview of the Yankee Hill Machine 22 Stinger suppressor, where I shot my T/C Contender Carbine in 5mm (it worked out very well):

We've also been focusing more on wildcats and centerfire, just because that is where the new products are. If you are not faint of heart, but like rockchuck hunting, check out our hunt with the 69 grain Sierra Blitzking bullet (not available as a component) out of a .22 Creedmoor: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m4mRadPShPs
