Pachmayr wrap around grips

I've got an MK2 and MK3 last round won't stay open on the slide. Is there a way to dremel or sander cut on the grips to make it stay open thank you

I have successfully used a sanding drum on Pachmayr grips. Not sure how one of the smaller metal bits would do. What makes you think the grips are the issue?

Yes, that's what I would do. It's just going to take some careful studying to determine exactly where the grips are causing the problem and not do any more sanding/grinding than is necessary.

I've got a barely used set of Pachmayr Signature grips purchased new many years ago for my own MkII. I don't recall having any function issues with those grips while in service. Mine have "RUGER MK II" molded on the inside of the backstrap which predated introduction of the MKIII, so maybe these were revised in subsequent years. BTW, I'll be posting a classified for them soon...

25 years ago I had a Mark II with Pachmayr signature wrap around grips that did the same thing slide wouldn't stay open
