This is a 1978 model that I bought new. I bought it to use and use it I have. There are hundreds if not thousands of dead raccoons taken during the golden years of hunting barns in Iowa. There are hundreds of dead grooundhogs, possums and raccoons taken digging with my terriers. There are thousands of dead blocks of wood taken during the golden years of toasting wienies by the river and shooting bricks and bricks of .22 LR.

Someday, no hurry mind you, a grandson will own it. I'll be dead then and have no further need for a great shooting .22 revolver.

Nice gun with a great story to go along with it.

Thank you. It really is a nice gun. Didn't do much to it - white outline rear sights and lighter hammer and trigger springs. And of course the Pachmayer grips. I have big hands and need them. Holster and belt go back to the early days too. The holster wear has become a point of pride with me. Love to see guns that are well used and taken care of and appreciated. I know it's no collector piece, but as stated, that was never the purpose.

It was smooth as silk until my dad sent it back for the recall (which he always regretted afterward). Now it is a bit stiff but crisp.
