Scope for LR 22

I have a Sightron 16x scope with AO I want to try
for long range with a 22 rifle.
Any one used one of these for LR?
It has a modified mil-dot and 1/4 moa turrents.
I have CZ, Kimber, Rem 541T, Savage, and Anschutz for the rifle
Any other suggestions?
I have up to 400 yds in the back field on the farm.
Thanks
Coach

16x produces a clear view of the bullseye at 200 yards.
Might not be able to see the bullet holes without a reactive target (Shoot-N-C or similar)

Mil-dots should allow for a decent vertical trajectory correction.

The Sightron should be a good scope, how MOA of adjustment does it have? Topstrap44 on this site turned me on to SWFA SS 20X MOA scopes. They are great scopes. Plus $299 price. They have 110 moa of adjustment. They come in 10X, 12X, 16X and 20X.

Is there any other criteria for the scope? I have a Athlon Ares BTR going on my T1x.

I have two of the SWFA 10x scopes. Glass clarity is meh, but they are solid and track well. Both of mine have the Mil-Quad reticle, which I like a lot.

I just put a Leupold VX-3i 4.5-14x40mm on my T1x, primarily for the elevation (113 MOA) we shoot out to 300yd using Burris elliptical rings, mechanically centered and zeroed at 50 yards, I can get out to 300 yds putting the target in the cross hairs, I also have a vortex on my CZ 455 that has 110 MOA.

I have a Weaver T-24 on my 10/22 used for long range silhouette and a Weaver T-36 on my Anschutz also used or long range silhouette matches. I can see .22 bullet holes at 200 meters with the 36X but not the 24X. I'm only familiar with the 36X Sightron and although as good as the Weavers, the graduations and numbers on the turrets are hard to read for "older" eyes.

The new Athlon 6-24 FFP Midas Tac is the bomb. Clear glass. 85 moa of elevation and with a 25 moa DIP rail on my Don Smith custom CZ 455 I need 72 moa for 400 yds. I dial 62 and hold the extra 10 for dead on hits; meaning the dial ups are spot on.. The clicks are very audible and tactile. The parallax, unlike so many other scopes with parallax adjustments, is marked in yards and is very close to the actual distance marked on the dial. Love the floating dot reticle and 1 moa hash marks.

I run a 12x swfa moa quad. 300 is no problem with a 0 moa rail. It will go to about 325. Got a 40 moa rail coming. Should get to over 500 dialing and 600 with the reticle. The gun does double duty for prairie dogs so more magnification is not better. Love the thin reticle.
