I read on another page that many aftermarket manufacturers and distributors run big sales on October 22 (10/22). Can anyone comment on that? Like who typically participates, etc.
I think what you are referring to is the 'Black Friday Sale' thing, something to do with a past stock market crash and trying to up sales/recovery. It isnt just firearms related.
I'm NOT asking about Black Friday - the Friday after Thanksgiving when retailers make their biggest sales of the year and go 'into the black,' and I'm NOT asking about sales on complete 10/22 rifles. I'm asking about people like Kidd, JWH, Tactical Innovations, Feddersen, Rimfire Sports, etc., having sales on accessories and components for 10/22s. I guess that I must not have been entirely clear in my initial post. That, or reading comprehension has become a lost art.
"Black Friday" in the retail context refers to it being the day for a great many in the retail store industry when the year-to-date net profit finally turns positive. They basically make all their money during the Christmas season.
Ruger has deals on there 10/22 stuff that day. I picked up a SS target barrel cheap two years ago. Had it cut to 16.25 and threaded. Still haven't shot yet.
Historically, have the aftermarket parts manufacturers run sales this time of year?
