I currently have a 10/22 takedown with a Nikon p22 scope. I am thinking of switching to tech sights and putting the scope on another .22. I feel that the take down is better suited to a quick handling survival rifle. What do ya'll think?
I went with a Skinner set made for the Takedown. The rear peep fits in the barrel dovetail and the supplied front sight is the correct height. I still have a Leupold Freedom 1.5-4x20 scope on mine in the lowest rings I could find. My pic rail is grooved so the irons are visible and mine is in a Backpacker stock.
I've got two TD's now, I run this one with factory irons for now...been thinking about a brass Skinner sight though
and after using a couple Bugbuster scopes on my nephews Compact builds, I'm getting another for this one, as they seem to fit the size of the action quite well
That's my take, too. Add handy for taking with me in the vehicle.
