Hello. I have a Rock Island M14Y, bolt action that I've been shooting. I just noticed that it says High velocity 22LR only on the magazine. Same thing in the manual, but doesn't say why. Is there any reason why that would be a requirement on a bolt action? It makes sense on a semi for reliable feed, but high velocity required on a bolt action?
That's odd. Maybe you should shoot some SV and see whether it clears the barrel. In a safe direction, of course. My guess is "typo" or a little too much "cut and paste" when putting together the written materials.
The manual and magazine may interchange with the Rock Island M20P Semi-Auto 22 rifle?
