A post about how your eyes finally got bad enough that the black sights didn't work for you anymore.

It happens to most of us eventually.
When eventually gets here, I will replace those black iron sights with scopes. Still won't like those day-glo sights.

That can be easily changed. ;)
Quiet, it's my justification to prevent having to buying one. ;)

I've been shooting for nearly 60 years, have a sister that's been shooting for about 65 and a brother that's been at it for nearly 70. We got together for shooting in August and none of us had fiber optic sights on a total of 8 rifles and handguns. None of us have excellent eyesight, all have been wearing glasses all our lives and I've had cataract surgery in both eyes. Age doesn't automatically require them. It's also a personal preference. When I buy a firearm with the fiber optic front sight one of the first things I do is remove it and replace it with a Patridge type. On the other hand, I don't shoot in low light conditions and if I did I would at least give them a shot. So to speak. :D
