i will jump in and add that i have a 9422 as well - nothing bad to say here , i think you need both - or all four depending on where in this thread you might get stuck - im just in favor of the marlin as long as it was the OP topic , i did get a mountie as well , both date to the 50s , my 9422 is early 70s vintage , nothing wrong with it in any way , just love my marlins , i have a mossberg palomino too but i dont lump it in the same conversation with these marlins ,
