I recently traded for a 40X benchrest rifle and I am trying to research it's pedigree. The owner did not know who built the rifle, only that it has a 40X action, Shilen 4 groove barrel and a Jewell trigger. The stock is a fiberglass benchrest stock painted to look like carbon fiber and has the name "Langley" on the right hand side of the rear stock. Searching on-line I came across John Langley, a gun smith, in Southern Ohio not far from where I live in West Virginia but his email is no longer active.

Can anyone shed any light on Mr. Langley as to his skills as a gunsmith and whether he built Rimfire bench guns?
