Is the model 10 you are looking at a std barrel or heavy? My sons model 10 heavy barrel, tupper ware stock, pre accu-trigger with a weaver v-16 with a dot can do dime size groups at 100 yds. That's with handloads of h335 55gr vmax and these are just thrown together nothing special. I also have a stevens 200 (basically a model 10) in 223 no accu- trigger but adjustable, std barrel and pmc ammo will do 3/4 in groups at 100yds. I think if I had a dot scope it would help instead of a duplex just finer aiming with the dot. I don't think you can go wrong on this one. Good luck
