  • 4x, scope made 1938-1965. It has 3/4" tube 15.75" long. External adjustments for windage and elevation. Marketed with No. 8 mount.

  • 4x, scope was made in 1946. It has 3/4" diameter tube 14.5" long. Two piece internal eyepiece tube with separate nut, replacement of front focusing bell with adjustment screw and plate, micrometer click adjustment for windage and elevation, no graduated yardage indicator.

  • 4x, scope was made in 1949. It has 3/4" diameter tube 14.5" long. One unit internal eyepiece tube with integral retaining ring replacing separate tube and nut combination.

  • 4x, scope was made 1952. It has 3/4" diameter tube 14.5" long. Change in internal adjustments, recessed click screws with coin slot groove, change in reticule housing. As changes occurred, the new designations became: 5M4a, 8M4c, 7M4b, etc.
