Hello all, Can you please post pics of some of your tapco setups. All entries will be appreciated. Can you also answer my question of how heavy the tapco is?
Finally mostly finished with mine... For your approval:
It came as a dealer exclusive with the Tapco Intrafuse stock. I added the UTG quad rail, PA MD-06 with Seekins absolute cowitness riser, front and rear MBUS, PWS T3 magaize release (My favorite ever), self done auto bolt release, and personalized made to fit pistol grip modifications done with black sugru. I plan on posting a full build write up if there's any questions. I also have an imgur album that has most of the info blurbed into it at .
Pretty straight forward. Only thing I have done so far is add a simple Butler Creek one point sling, a angled fore grip, and a Primary Arms MD06L Red Dot. I have a Ruger BX-25 x2 on its way.
Not a big fan of the tactical 10/22 thing, but I browse here. A 10/22 is a 10/22 right? Anyways....this one is visually appealing and attractive and well done (tasteful actually) IMO. Again...my opinions don't carry much weight here, but I'd vote for it if it were a contender in any sort of contest.
Tips....Suggestions....Want to keep is Cheap, Light & functional?
Hi all... I have got some awesome thought starters from the thread. I figured I would post a pic of my 10/22 to see what the crowd thinks after 3 weeks and ask for some ideas.
I bought the gun used for $90. It came with the standard synthetic stock, 10 rd mag an a bx-25 mag. 2x boxes of ammo and a bi-pod (I used on another rifle).
I bought the stock used along with the angle foregrip for $58 on ebay and the bipod/foregrip, muzzle brake and sling cost me about $30 total. I already had the scope, rugger pistol grip wrap and flashlight so I figure I have less than $200 in the gun total.
I plan tweak the trigger pull, add a stainless trigger & extended mag release for less than $50 bucks.
I want to keep it under $400-$450 because I chose to build this gun over purchasing a SR-22. I'm looking for the best way to spend the other $100-$150 bucks.
I have got some great ideas from the thread. I picked up a used 10/22 in stainless 3 weeks ago and bought a used stock and some other stuff off ebay. All told, I have about $250 in the gun. I plan to tweak the trigger and add a stainless trigger, mag release & auto bolt release. I ordered a charging handle with the ruger logo to match the scope bringing me to about $325 or so. I planned to spend less than $450 as I chose this route instead of purchasing a SR-22. Any ideas on how to spend the other $100 bucks? What do you think so far? Thanks in advance.
I really enjoyed browsing through all the great rifles. I have picked up a few thoughts as you can probably see... I wanted something light and functional to plink and maybe hunt squirrel. I think I'm getting close but I please share any ideas or next steps I should consider?? Any adds changes or suggestions?? Tell me what you think so far.
Here is my tapco. I could not see the sights thru the top rail, so I bought another top cover on ebay, sliced the rail off & filled in the opening w/ auto body putty. then painted it.
Very nice .... Similar to the K10 I just picked up last month at the Nations Gun Show - Chantilly, VA
Looking at all these posts and pictures is giving me ideas of what I would like to change and modify- I can see this little 10/22 becoming a upgrade addiction 😁
Ok what receiver rail comes close to matching the height of the front rail on the stock to get front and rear flip up sights as close to even as possible.
Or can someone make a full length rail out of a picatinny blank ?
just realized there was a tapco section.. finished my tacticool 10/22 build
tapco kit
cheapy 4x32
paracord grip
leather buttpad
threaded barrel adapter
bx25 mag
homemade sling / hk hook
bipod mount
so much fun to shoot.. wish the barrel was a little shorter but i'm not going to spend the money to get a different one
