Savage 112 BVSS 6.5X284 ... Competition

If you can find one ... but, they can be found if you look hard.
The Savage 112 BVSS is an excellent compromise between weight, portability,
versitilty and, most importantly, affordability.

The 6.5X284 combines very high ballistic quotient bullets to provide
long-range capabilities with low-recoil.
Just add a Burris Tactical scope (affordable) and bi-pod.
