I hope I've properly labeled the stocks.

Stained - Beech or Birch?

How natural Beech or Birch became TOZ 78 Orange.

Why TOZ or Winchester prefer to stain the stocks is beyond me.
The natural look of beech or birch, to me, is much more desirable that a stained finish.
If walnut is the wood choice, don't bother with a substitute.
A knowledgeable customer will always be able to tell the difference
between first choice and second best.
