The cheapest CO2 cartridges are usually the Crosman 40 packs at Walmart. I've seen them as low as $12/40 pack when purchased online.

My latest is also my favorite. 455 Scout in a walnut American stock.

The 455 Scout has a 16" threaded barrel with open sights. ( I'm not sure anything else on the market has a short barrel, open sights, and is threaded.)
This gives me all the quality and accuracy...

You could get a Scout and put it in an American stock.

I put the Scout barreled action in an American stock. It fit great and looks and shoots great.

I ended-up with a rifle with a 16.5" barrel. Adding a 7" suppressor still keeps overall length...

In general, .22 shorts and CB Longs won't shoot anywhere near as well as .22LR. If you use Target Shorts, keep the range UNDER 25yds and your rifle happens to like them, you MIGHT luck out and get...

I love the idea and concept and am glad they're doing it.

But I wish they'd copied the look and feel of the 10/22 or Mini14 instead of the Remington Viper. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder....

and is so accurate w/ the Shilen barrel, I can't imagine parting with it. It's a really nice looking gun too.

That being said, the CZ 452s and 455s are very nice.

Sold a couple. Bought one. No problems.

I sold a Volq stainless 77/22 barrel w/ 1:9 twist designed for Sniper Sub Sonics. I only had 50 or so rounds thru it. I sold it because it was only 16-18" and was louder than I expected. And it...

With the same ammo in each gun, the Scout w/ suppressor absolutely crushes the Ultralux silence-wise. As long as the ammo you're shooting is sub-sonic.

The Scout w/ suppressor and standard vel...

I had the same "want". I got a 455 Scout and put the action in an American stock.

I bought a brand new 455 Scout because I wanted the shortest-possible threaded barrel WITH open sights for suppressor usage. I also preferred a nice wooden stock and high quality metal finish,...

It's possible you got a bad batch of CCI Quiet

It happens. I've gotten sub-par batches of ammo on a few occasions.

I've found CCI Quiet to be reasonably accurate in all the rifles I've tried. CZ 452 Trainer and Scout, Savage Mark II FV-SR,...

Big fan of the 34/36 rifles.

Hi.

I've got a couple 34's in .22 and two 36s in .177 and .22. It's a great gun that's very accurate and responds well to tuning. Of the two calibers, I prefer .22 in this rifle.

The .22...

I would suspect the ammo.

Not knowing what ammo you're shooting or whether you're shooting the same type and brand of ammo throughout the testing, I would that before anything else.

The only times my 10/22's have jammed...

Practice a different technique ?

If I work the bolt quickly and forcefully, all my CZ rimfires do the same thing. The bolt face slightly rotates and catches on an alignment "nub" in the receiver.

Easiest fix is to practice...

77/22 Mixed Emotions-- .

I love how smoothly the bolt slides on my 77/22. Fit and finish, style, heft, quality of wood, are really nice. That's why I bought mine.

I ordered mine from a LGS about 20 yrs ago, so I bought...

I lucked-out and got some just before everything got scarce and expensive.

Just as ammo was going out of sight price-wise and disappearing from shelves, I found some at pre-maddness prices thru an online retailer. I ordered all they had-- which was about 1/2 case. A...
