Everyone's experience is different.

My left handed 452 American (22LR) is the finest rifle in it's class I have ever owned. If the 455 would have come left handed, in 22 WMR, I would have bought one to replace my Savage 93GL, with...

They are all Good

1. My CZ 452 American is the most accurate rifle in 22 LR under $500 NIB, that I have ever owned.

2. My CZ 527 in 223 Rem. is a joy to handle and shoot.

3. My Savage 93GL in 22 WMR was a...

Another Idea

The lefty 452 American is still being manufactured. It would cost less to buy one and have the barrel drilled and tapped for mounting irons than the cost of the Anschutz.

#Me Too (Sort of)

I'm obviously a bit late to this discussion, however; I must add I had a very similar experience with the CZ rings that came with my 452 American. While tightening with my torque wrench, the head of...

Barrel length: Scope vs. Sights

When my gunsmith and former champion level shooter Russ, built a benchrest gun for me, it had a 20" barrel. When I questioned that, he said 20" is plenty long to have all of the powder burned and...

Well, there is that. I was tired of hanging out at noisy gun ranges. My heavy benchrest rifles were useless for anything else.

But then I had been culling the herd for quite a while. Soon after...

Agreed!
If I was to sell my left handed 452 American, I would ask more than that. But then, when I sold all but one of my 22s, the only one I kept was my CZ. So what does that tell you?

I am not sure I would trust that production will continue. However, the 455 is not going to be built left handed, so unless CZ plans on dropping left handed bolt action 22 LR rifles completely, I...

Very High!

As others are and will say, a set of proper sights for a MK II will set you back over 1/3 of that asking price. A MK II in very good condition, with a set of original Parker Hale sights should sell...

I confess, my experience with predators does not match yours. Raccoons and feral dogs, I've had to deal with regularly. As to bears, my wife's bird feeders, when we lived in semi-rural Kingston,...

You have Raccoons? We do (or did). Until we moved to the city 6 years ago, we lived for decades where they were regular visitors to our back yard. They can get huge. When a 50 lb. raccoon takes...

I had a Vickers Martini a decade ago or so. I was surprised at how accurate it was with mid-priced ammo such as SK Standard Plus.

Norma Match on Sale at Midway

I just saw Norma Match on sale at Midway at $39.99 a brick. That is quite a deal on ammo that shoots like the high priced stuff in my CZ 452 American.
