Yup, accuracy can be achieved with enough starting velocity, but those pellets don't maintain energy levels very well over long ranges.... I saw several PD's on the video that were kicking around...

ES numbers don't always equal better accuracy. Working up loads to me is finding the most accurate loads and that usually means finding a powder charge and that is close to optimum for the cartridge...

It definitely looks bent to me. If I were to guess I would think the rifle may have been dropped at one time in its life and the owner just adjusted the elevation screw until it came back into line...

My thought is that the size of that heavy barrel required a new stock. The original 75 Sporter stocks wouldn't have much meat left on the outside of the barrel channel after inletting that barrel......
