Glad you are getting the shorter New Model you wanted.
I hate to see any Old Model converted, I had a bad experience doing that.

I bought a nice 1957 Flatgate Single Six years ago. I had a really...

Now that I know which ammo shoots well in the new to me SS (anything but the RWS) I've been going out every day and plinking, shooting golf balls and tin cans.

Thanks. I have had a hard time the last 4 or 5 years shooting iron sights, due to older eyes that can't focus on the front sight.
If things are beyond 6 feet away I can still see sharply. And I...

The peep is a Williams WGRS. The Nylons and other Remingtons have a rounded receiver top where the scope groove is. I had to take a round file and make a concave groove in the bottom of the sight so...

I wouldn't be able to live with a scope on a dainty little BL-22 action for the reasons
Flintlock stated above. A scope, any scope, looks way too big and ruins the handling.
My eyes aren't that...

I bought a brick of M22 a few years back. I had heard about the recall on some of the M22 and mine was not in the affected range.
But maybe 80 rounds out of the brick had bullets that were canted so...

That BL-22 looks nice Roddy. The tungsten almost has a satin nickel look.
I did one of my Mini-30s in Tungsten years ago, but last fall changed it over to a FDE/Desert Sand two tone. Did my .45...

A Tough Rifle Made Tougher

Nylons are pretty rugged rifles, to the point where some of the ones we see for sale have been abused by the previous owners, but they just keep on ticking.

I missed having one, my first one was...

Rifle chambers the first round easily if done manually through the ejection port, or through the tube if it's not full of cartridges.
Seems it will balk and take some force to chamber if the...

You might have something there, Ferox, with the mag tube. Maybe pressure from the fully loaded mag.
I'll try loading the first round into the chamber, THEN load up the mag.

The peep is clamped on to the scope grooves, no screws sticking down through the action. And the bolt cycles slicker than snot when there's no ammo in it, so I don't think the peep is the problem...

I've cleaned the mag tube and plunger not too long ago.
Rounds feeding from the tube is not causing the bolt stickiness for the first round.
Once that first round is chambered, I can fire off all...

Maybe cartridge guide or carrier ?

Nylon 66 Issue

I love my Nylon, equipped with a peep and taller front sight, it's one of my more accurate .22's, and not very fussy about ammo it likes.

One thing about it though bugs me. I load up the tube,...
