With the screwdriver, do the casings come out with ease or are they tight and take some effort?

If they come out easy, just that the bolt is failing to extract for some reason, it is most probable...

I'm surprised nobody knows what those marks really are, some rather speculative theories. Those are tool marks from drilling/reaming the blank. CZ's hydraulic lapping procedure should remove most...

Does it meet their accuracy guarantee? If it does, I don't think you'll get anywhere with CZ on it. It is common for factory barrels to have variation in bore diameter, can even happen in custom...

Nicely done, looks good. If you refit it with a custom barrel at some point, you can make that rifle give an Annie a serious run for her money.

Nah, it's more like CZ's manufacturing tolerances turned out to be too generous to be able to provide the drop-in barrels at a fixed shank length. I think it was djdilliodon who pushed Lilja to...

That is the million dollar question. Does anyone really know exactly why it happens, other than that they know that it does? I've seen Calfee theorize that it can be related to an improperly...

I've circled the area you seem to be in question about. Looks like a lead streak to me. For someone saying "lapping marks"... I think they need to adjust their glasses. In the groove area below...

As far as that Chambermade tool, it doesn't matter what style of chamber you have, all it does is "smooth out" the mouth of the chamber, it doesn't cut metal and shouldn't effect anything in past the...

OK, spent cases should move freely in the chamber. This information leads me to suspect chamber damage from dry firing, did this ever occur (a dry fire)? Is there scratching on the brass oriented...

People tend to bark up the wrong tree when it comes to extraction issues. Polishing the chamber is extremely unlikely to be of any benefit.

Take a spent case fired out of your LW barrel, and with...

Snazzy ammo case there Al ;) I would think it to be odd to get light strikes, given that the CZ 455/457 should be sprung hard enough for the magnum calibers. I had this issue with my first 455 and...

I've never heard of anybody having to heat the receiver or freeze the barrel to fit a drop-in on a 455. 0.001-0.002" clearance is plenty to slide right in. I was out on the weekend with my Lilja...

Rim fire bores, particularly those that have had a lapping treatment like CZ does, do not need any "break in". What does need to occur is for the transition from chamber to leade to bore to smooth...
