just wondering if the .22 ammo shortage could be from people with ar conversion kits thinking they will not be able to get .223 ammo any more and having a 8 lb paperweight lying around.

i have 4 kids so if i don't use plinking ammo i shoot far less than i would care to.
soda cans and steel targets are loads more fun than paper to shoot.minute of
squirrel is all i really care about.

seems that the dynapoints were cleaner for me...
seems that the dynapoints were cleaner for me also.the dynapoints were a little quieter due to slower fps than standard mag ammo.you could try wrf loads instead of wmr loads.

i have seen it on my h&r 649 also. i think this is unburnt powder?this might be due to the fact that most 22 mag ammo is made to shoot in a long rifle.
