Take a soldering iron against the screw for a few seconds . If it doesn't loosen up give it a little more time and it should come loose from the heat.

I agree on the 2X6 pistol scope. Often times you can brace your hand, arm or shoulder and have a much more precise shot with a scope in woods hunting conditions.

If the "Mark I deluxe" it is on the barrel it is a custom job by some one , there are several smiths in SA that rebuild Rugers. If the marking was factory it would be on the receiver not the barrel....

That doesn't appear to be the correct main spring housing latch. The 22/45 's have a square tab on the upper end of the main spring housing , not straight . Look at shopruger.com and look at MKIII...
