Of all the simple single shot 22s, i like the 33 the best. Mine is absolutely reliable and accurate, and it is as light as a magic wand.

My 1931 vintage 33 is absolutely reliable, very easy to shoot accurately and just about my favorite 22.

Daisy 880

I suggest getting a Walmart Daisy 880 and shooting a tin of pellets or so. You can see how many pumps you need to have the power you require and make a better informed decision and have some fun in...

better balance

You can improve the balance of the 880 by adding some weight to the forestock. I took off both sides and used bathtub caulk to glue a bunch of fishing sinkers to the insides. The rifle is more...

shell deflector

When was the last time you saw one of these for sale? I made one out of plastic and it is very ugly. I'd love to find a real one for my 1930 vintage 24.

521 T trigger

Mine (1948 vintage) has a very clean, crisp break at about 3# or so. It is my most accurate 22 and friends have also shot it with similar results. The size and shape of the stock are just right,...

Daisy 953

The action of the 953 is the same as the action in the 853 and 753. The barrel is not a Lothar Walther and the stock is synthetic.

My 953 shoots great and cost $130 from Pyramyd Air including the...

smoother shooting

You might spend a halftime taking the action out of the stock and putting some heavy grease on the spring thru the slot. The gun will shoot a little quieter and smoother and last longer. Grease the...

model 33 A+++

I have model 24, 33 and early 521-T Rems and the 33 is my favorite. In all the years I've owned it there has never been a failure to fire. It's wicked accurate, rivaling the 521-T at times and just...

Daisy 880

The trigger on the Daisy 880 can be improved a lot by replacing the trigger spring with a weaker one. It's also a good idea to glue down the front sight because it moves around and throws your zero...

yes, that bandage-free thumbs up says it all

Your mirror finish on the barrel is just incredible. If you run out of ammo you can reflect the sun into their eyes.

Shoot all day for a few bucks!

The pellets I use are about $5 per tin of 500. I don't need any hearing protection. The walk to the target is shorter. There's no screwing around with having a new one shipped to a dealer, it...

Weihrauch is the king of air guns. They make only the best quality stuff. That rifle is probably at least as good as an Anschutz.

I've heard it pronounced many ways but a German guy told me "Vi...

silver BBs

The silver colored BBs are Daisy and Walmart has them. I've found them to be more accurate than Crosman copper colored ones and they are cheap.

Watch it! You could shoot your eye out with those...

air gun

You might try a CO2 airgun. No recoil and quiet enough that the neighbors won't ever know. In any case, get better soon.

model 33

I have a 33 and a 510. I think you need both, too, plus the 514.

The 33 is thin and light and wonderfully easy to get "on target". It is my favorite plinker ever. I would get the 514 and...
