Confirmed, it is the 1/4 UNF thread. Everything bolted back together.
Maybe they used these screws when it was still lakefield in Canada and changed after savage took over.

My best guess is that a dealer bought a container of these things and sold them in Europe.
And knowing Belgium, they won't be so much "budget guns" any more when adding import taxes and other taxes...

Went to a specialised hardware shop, it is a 1/4 UNF countersunk screw. Not in stock but they could order a box of 200 for me....
luckily I found smaller quantities online

It is definitely an improvement over the original bolt. Starting to like the little thing after 8 years.
Trigger pull is already improved after polishing all parts in the trigger...
