Page 16, #6 in the Ruger Wrangler Owner's Manual explains that this "drag line" is normal. It's not a QC issue. Enjoy your new Wrangler!

I bought a black one about a month ago and I'm very pleased with it.
They are an incredible value and fun to shoot.
Some nice wood grips make a big difference...

It's probably a Single Six barrel.
Ruger's .22lr is usually 1 in 16", .22wmr is 1 in 14".

I've had several Single Sixes in my 74 years and have never been disappointed. I currently own two fixed sight and two adjustable sight models. The mechanical accuracy has never been an issue for me....
