If the barrel is bad, almost any decent gunsmith could fit a new barrel to it. The barrels on an 82G are threaded. You should get a good match grade barrel, the best you can reasonably afford.

I do not think it's even possible to shoot a Rimfire barrel out. I would suspect fouling, cleaning rod damage or almost anything else before I would a shot out barrel.
