Being a bit "weight forward" won't hurt a thing after you get used to it. I'd buy it and enjoy it. These are one of my favorite revolvers to begin with and having the longer barrel isn't a downside...

They work great for hunting if you're not going to do any sight adjustment. If you want to adjust elevation while you're hunting, forget it. They're "set and go" sights. Pretty much a fixed sight...

Not only is Loc-Tite your friend, so is alcohol. Clean all surfaces including screws and threaded holes with this, let dry, and then add the Loc-Tite. Slippage is almost always parts not cleaned...
