Just saw this thread.

I have rebarreled and relined many rifles. If your plans do not work with any other route, consider relining original barrel.

Drill out the old one, chamber the new liner, apply epoxy and slide...

Future plan for BB?

This is a welcome pic series, and confirms my thoughts about how the bbl and rec are mated. Tell me about the adhesive used. Is it brittle, pliable? Loctite made a grey product about 10+ years...

Been away for awhile - and may have parts for sale.

These are my posts https://www.rimfirecentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=261580 from a decade ago.

Anyway, I asked this question a few months ago because I have an intact rifle that I may* be...

Or, perhaps it is

a pistol.

Also, what other USSR target rifles have been covered on this forum? I have seen pics at some point, but do not know model names, or where to find the pics.

Barrel removal CM2

Who knows - definitely - how CM2 barrels are attached.

They both have some age on them..round top oldest I think.
Single locking lug on bolt handle for both.
Round receiver top on one and...

Need advice or direction for posting to Trading Post Section. Another CM-2 for sale but cannot upload image. The after cropping size, the new pic stretches and aspect ration destroyed.

Here is the BB stock. Unused, stripped. Any ideas of what a fair price would be?

Found the factory BB stock recently.

Will be selling it this this week. A real odd design. Anyone know a going rate for these "beauties?" Will post pics. No trigger assy or butt plate.

Whichever the most severe "not touching" one is,

is the one I am guilty of.

As a punishment to myself, I will be cutting, threading and adding a sound suppressor to this one. (and the cm2) Had the gun trust created recently. Now the waiting....

Current politics weight on this situation

more than any single factor at this point. This is likely a dead issue to be honest. One executive order = bankruptcy. If politics change..who knows? Do you see that happening soon?

Thanks,

Challenges include, shifting gun laws, updating the design for safety,

Insurance. Taxes on firearm would be 14% on my end, built into retail cost. Actions alone are not generally profitable, so entire rifle would be required. Then the question of quality vs price. We...

I am a former gunsmith turned business owner (not gun business). My question is about the demand for Martini Cadet rifles.

I am looking at the demand side for Martini sales to determine if...

Rifle accuracy has as many "sure fire" tricks as fishermen have lures I think.

A larger outside diameter muzzle can have many reasons, including a light swaging to tighten the bore. Or, some people just prefer a muzzle heavy feel.

Like Ultramag said, the condition/...

Looks like I lapped tapers into bores many times then

because that is how lapping is accomplished. The cutting less toward the bore is is also correct. But lapping is generally from the muzzle to the breech, or at least is is much easier on the setup (...

Teddy bear rat

I do not keep up with the GS work any more. I would like a description of lapping a taper into a barrel though. I made a few barrels myself ( cut rifling ) so I understand the process.

Lapping is easy...

and no mystery to it. I have done this many times to all types of rifles. Here is the quick description.

You need a vice, soft jaws, cleaning rod, pure lead, a slotted jag, a pinch of # 600...
