Rarther than modify the rifle be patient and wait for the proper ammo, it will return. I have a few thousand rounds in a couple of strengths, got them a few years ago when CCI was producing it.

A few weeks ago I bought a K-22 in the very low 5,000 serial number range. It has the Magna grips, a bit small, but I do have a T-grip laying around, I'll give that a try, I like them on J-frames.
