17s are pretty accurate compared with 22s but very wind sensitive when you start pushing distance. Past 125 yards It's hit and miss for me. A little more range than the mach 2 but not that much .

I suspect a .17 mandrel may be much more fragile than a .22 mandrel. Just my speculation it may be easier to get a barrel in .17 with a broach and the hydraulic method.
