I would also look at Rossi. I have two and they shoot good. One was stainless and I believe brand new at that $180.00.:)NMCA#689:)

I had one with the same problem. Bubba had replaced the hold down screws. These two screws are different from a regular screw. The heads are a lot thinner and the rear screw has a taper .I replacer...

I would use the bolt from the lsb until you can find one that will work. If it locks up good and snug on the lsb. and also locks up good on the 144 then shoot it:snipersmi I will get back some time...
