Just to clarify for everyone else - you need an FFL if it's not going to the manufacture. AKA Volquartsen/Clark/Etc.... You can ship directly to the manufacture and they can ship it back to you...

There isn't much difference between the two frames. My 22/45 lower fit without issues on my 10" MKII upper. And my MKII frame fit super tight but without much issue on my 22/45 upper.

I don't think you can buy the safety, but I cant remember. There was a post less than a year ago detailing the cost of replacing all of the internal parts and it was an eye opener for a few people....

I tried the V notch and wasn't impressed. Ruger lists the square notch for $2.50 and if you call them they would sell you the V notch for probably the same price if not send it to you for free.
