I'm in the same boat as most. My Tikka is as accurate as my 452 Varmint, maybe a bit better.
It isn't as fussy about ammo either. Most decent ammo shoots well from it.
The downside (there always...

I'd recommend the Beartooth comb raising kit, available from Bass Pro. They're adjustable by varying the thickness of pad under the neoprene sleeve.
I have them on most of my rifles now.

With any luck at all, the crown was the problem.

If he was getting groups "around .750" with Winchester SS at 50m, that's not bad at all.

That's real world accuracy with real world...

Thanks Stan, the CZ has really come to life with the latest lot of SK Biathlon. I had concluded that it wasn't as accurate as my Tikka, but I'm reconsidering that position now.

It's always been a...

Thanks Řystein. Some of the Federal Gold Medal target ammo shot quite well through my Tikka, and it wasn't much more than CCI SV until Bass Pro increased their shelf price.
You might try SK...

You had a couple great targets with the 452, Řystein!

She's definitely a good shooter.

I think CZ dropped the ball when they discontinued the 452 line.

I don't have a lever action .22, at...

Yesterday turned out to be a lovely day to shoot, despite a nasty forecast. -14C early in the morning, and blustery winds.
By lunch it warmed up to a balmy -7, so off to the range I went.

Well, there are differing schools of thought on the matter. Many 455s and 457s apparently shoot very well out-of-the-box, while others don't.
Some 452s had the same problems, I think, but were...

Both the 455 and 457 have had some "isolated problems", if you can believe what you read. I don't think QC at CZ is what it used to be, unfortunately. Buying an accurate-out-of-the-box rifle...

One of the things I've read about the T1x is that the trigger pull adjustability varies a bit from rifle to rifle.

Mine is about 1.5 lbs with a lighter spring, it didn't seem to matter much how...

I didn't really like the Warne rings at first, for that reason. Top quality steel rings with a minor downside, is the way I looked at it.

I have the Warnes on all my .22s, which isn't saying a lot by some standards. 3 rifles.

There's a neat trick to getting the top halves in place without marring the scope tube.

The top...

My experiences mirror most of what's already been said.

The 457s haven't impressed me, so much so that I haven't bought one and have no intention to do so. Like the 455s, they're not consistent...

Glad to hear they were willing to look at it. Customer service can be the difference between "Never again" and "it's not so bad after all".

It'll be interesting to see what the verdict is.

I hope they sort out your rifle, bongsboy.

Magazine differences?

So I have two types of magazine for my .22 452 Varmint.
Both are polymer 5-round mags, both are OEM CZ items. It's possible they may have gotten mixed up with 455 mags, I used to own a 455....
