What is everyone using to clean their chambers for this issue? Cleaner and the tool(s)?

I use jags and patches on all of my small bore rimfires. Should I use a brush and just poke it in and out...

Love my 512 WMR and have similar results as everyone else.

Mine does about 3/4" groups at 50-75 yards with a 3-9 scope.

Mine is an American but does not have a walnut stock, but I'm okay with...

452 stock, too late to fill the grain?

So I refinished the stock on an HM2 that I mentioned in a previous thread. It turned out really nice and the natural beauty of the wood came through.

I sanded with 400 / 800 prior to spraying and...

Attaching a CZ 452 buttplate

Cross posting this. It seems as though the "stock" section is a little dead and I thought I might get more hits over here.

I am just about finished with rehabbing the stock on my newly acquired...

Attaching a CZ 452 buttplate

I am just about finished with rehabbing the stock on my newly acquired HM2.

What does everyone use for glue on the buttplate or is everyone putting it back on dry?

There are very small air gaps...

CZ Mags - 12003 vs 12009

What's the difference between these two magazines?

The CZ Store website shows the 12003 as a 5 rd poly mag for 452 22LR and 17HM2. Midway and several others show the 12009 as an HM2 specific poly...

I bought a used 452 in HMR that was taken care of and definitely shot plenty based on the light wear marks on mine but the blueing is nearly flawless. It is still a nice looker and is one of my best...

Below are photos of the bolt. I would say it at least looks as though someone enjoyed the rifle to its extent. The wear marks are why I'm hesitant.

HM2. Yea or Nay

I have an opportunity for a 452 American in HM2.

I don't need another caliber but this one has me somewhat interested. I own 3 HMRs but not an HM2. Yes ammo is cheaper (generally) but the HMR...

I hate to bring a good party down but the 17 won't command anywhere near $700. I shoot a reasonable amount of 17 because I am a varmint hunter and unless you do so, I will agree that most will be...

Well I ended up ordering one from a local FFL.

It was a fair price and was less than 10% more than what the used one was selling for.

Crossing my fingers for a shooter and a looker.

Looking at a new "used" CZ 527

Local gentleman has a 527 varmint in .204 for sale. Factory test fired only. Not a wood lottery winner but a nice clean example of what I would expect from a CZ.

I would have purchased it on the...

Very beautiful.

I'm more curious about that rifle rest. Is it a DIY item or custom?

Okay, maybe I need to rephrase my question to durability only. That is the main concern overall.

Both the 452 and 455 are new to me. 452 bought used at an LGS, 455 bought new. I treat them...

That was for polishing out with rotten or pumice stone. This is for building up the initial layer(s) of the finish.

The finish on the 455 is quite lacking, comparatively to the 452. It is very...

455 Lacquer improvement

I have a 455 that I want to spiffy up the stock. My 452 has, just like everyone else, has a much nicer and more durable finish than my 455.

I know they both are lacquer finishes and that lacquer...

I can concur with the above posts about the VNT. I tried several in a controlled indoor range and the VNT was the same, if not just a little worse than the V-Max ammo in my 452. Also similar was my...

That's good to know.

I haven't had a chance to test the Federal TNT yet. I was hoping someone could give firsthand knowledge of their experiences.

It would be a good backup or alternative...

Federal TNT vs CCI TNT

I get pretty consistent results between the Federal and CCI V-Max.

Are people seeing the same consistency with the TNTs from both since they are made with the same Speer projectile? **All other...

I think I need to work with the torque on the action screws first since I completely flaked on that after cleaning them.

I'm also wondering if the 22WMR needs to settle in a bit?

455 stock cleaning

I just picked up a 455 American 22WMR. Has pretty nice walnut stock. As stated in many threads, the newer finish is more Matte in nature. I would like to spiffy it up a bit. Just a little more...
