not to mention if you could bubba rig one on the front, if it moved out of position with the bore, it would not end well. So at least if you found an old model 41 slide and 7 3/8 barrel...

there is no way to mount a muzzle brake on a model 46 without modification.
To begin with you at least need a tapped hole in the proper location, this is deemed a modification right off...

Well I must say it's not easy figuring out SAP, when your not familiar with the outfit selling the barrels for that price. Even googled the barrel and price and came up empty.
