For WWII, I prefer the Garands. For the one they were the best.

Too bad they couldn’t have used the BAR magazine that was available about 20 years earlier.

Good advice.

If you were going to sell a Ruger upgraded with Kidd parts, you would have to part it out to get most of your money back.

I paid $300 OTD for a 99% four digit 10/22 a few years ago and some folks on this forum thought I was crazy. I was thrilled with the find.

Now I know I did well.

That is the correct way.

I have a friend that recently was shooting some old reloads. He didn’t do the reloading.

He blew up his S&W 686+.

Remember, this process case hardens the material that is treated. Thin material will become brittle. I have had barrels treated, and steel 10/22 receivers treated. All items that I had the nitride...

The best part from Kingston rifles was the receivers. I would try to profile a Kidd barrel to work, if possible. I don’t know if they make one long enough, but they are accurate.

I have several of each. The 39AS model doesn’t bother me. I don’t lower my trigger weight that low on field rifles anyway.

I just don’t use the safety since I have never found a need for it.
