Bully/Ammo

I was shooting the CMP (Aguila) white box stuff in my 41 until I put #66 on. I had some reliability issues that I blame on the bullet lube. I cleaned the chamber, and tried CMP black box, and CCI...

twist rate

If you look at the barrel history section on the Bully site, Ray has documented all of his test groups. If you look you'll notice that the 1:16's tend to make smaller groups. I think this has to do...

#66

I just got #66 out of the current batch on Thursday just in time for league practice. I shoot Bullseye with a red dot, and the Bully is SUBSTANTIALY more accurate than either of the factory barrels...

Chance-seeing your hits

Keep in mind that most pistol scopes are low magnification. My Nikon is a 2X. Anything much more than that and you probably will have difficulty shooting it off hand. I'm not opposed to using a...

Rear Firesight & cheap red dots

I would not willingly part company with my firesights. They were well worth the money as far as I'm concerned. I have them on 2 MKII's. One is a stainless 5 1/2 bull, and the other is a blue 6 7/8...

I think at those kind of distances the stock open sights should serve you well. I scoped my 10" for groundhog whacking up to about 60 yards or so. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with this slab...

Slabside MK II

A while back I bought a 10" MK II and a Sig red dot sight. Ended up putting a Nikon 2x on instead. Wicked accurate rig but really heavy. I've whacked a couple of groundhogs with it, but you almost...

What part of the country you are you in that you have groundhogs this time of year? Up here they're hibernating or whatever it is they do. Those that made it past the .17 HMR anyway. No more...

Top One

I'd have to agree the top one is a Stevens. You don't often see one with checkering or in that good a shape. They made a Bazillion of them, but many were barn guns and much abused. In my opinion...

Round barrel

I believe the round barrel model was discontinued. I have one that I don't shoot much. The round barrel model has the plastic front sight like the H001.
The newer models have a much improved metal...

I'm guessing they don't give those out anymore, as broke as the state of Michigan claims to be.

Revolvers for sale???

Howse come the revolvers category is about 90% holsters and grips? It seems like they should be under holsters and grips in the accesory section.

Rossi 62

Subsailor, sorry to hear you (as a fellow bubblehead) are having trouble with Rossi. M & M gunsmithing in Virginia is a Rossi wizard, and I'd bet he can cure whatever ails yours. I have one I've...

I've had 2 different Rossi's to him in the last couple of years. I was very satisfied both times. He seems to be pretty busy. He told me he was the factory warranty station when Interarms was...

I'd like to find a nice Savage around here, but they seem to be scarce. I've seen a couple but they were barn grade guns.

My $.02

I somewhat collect .22 pumps, and this is MHO:

New 572's have a Monte Carlo stock, and I can't align the sights. My mid 70's 572 is straight stocked and fits great. Trigger is nothing to write...

DRS...Thanks for the reply. That's better than I'd hoped for. I think I might just take the plunge and scoop one of those up. I've whacked a deer with a .44 mag. Super Blackhawk and it never took...

77/22 x 2 = 77/44

Okay, off topic a little, but do any of you have any direct info on a 77/44, and it's accuracy. Indiana has allowed the use of rifles chambered for pistol cartridges this year for deer. A local...

I just got an email about a polar bear attack in the Yukon. Had some pretty graphic pictures. I don't know how to post them, but I can forward the email if anybody is interested.
