Looks a lot like mine which is in the 23,000 range. I did put a BX trigger in it so I can keep the original unchanged. Shoots pretty good for a stock 10/22. Bought it for peanuts from a pawn shop.

Mine isn't picky, but it loves Federal Auto Match the best. HV 40 grainers do the best in general. I shoot at least 100 rounds a week at our 50-yard golf and tennis ball informal competition.

No reviews yet, so I'll wait to see how they shoot. Unless they can beat the Tikka for the same price, I'll wait till the Tikkas come back into stock.

I don't think so. The early SA22s had that narrow fore stock. If it were a Remington 24 there would be a screw near the front of the receiver.

While you can scope a SA22, it really is not the best candidate for a scope. The design and shape of the rifle makes it a perfect iron sights gun. With a scope, cheek weld is nigh impossible and...

Getting back to the op's question, the answer is that it will depend on the magnification setting. If you shoot at 25 yards with the scope at the lowest end of magnification, it will probably be fine.
