vs VX2?

Doug, I know you are a fan of the Leupold VX-2 6-18. Have you had a chance to at least look thru the Clearidge and compare clarity, etc to the VX-2, particularly at 20X? I have been thinking of the...

[QUOTE=PWNolan;12505075]When I first got my T1X I was exploring the idea of installing a better barrel (IBI or Lothar-Walther). But then I read where Kiss-of-Death was having feed issues with his and...

I second the Bore Tech rods. Their web site has info on rod diameter for their less expensive V-stix (https://www.boretech.com/products/v-stix-22-65mm) and more expensive Proof Positive Bore Stix in...

Thanks

Thanks for the replies. I realize that most stock finishes will not be harmed by the cleaning products I use, but I have the uncanny ability to mess up an anvil with a rubber mallet, given the...

I am trying to find a solvent-proof stock protector to use when cleaning rifles. I found a fancy one made of leather but want something cheaper but still effective, that drapes over the stock. I...

Another vote for the Burris Signature with synthetic inserts. Use them on all my rimfires...except T1X after having a larger diameter match barrel installed. The medium rings provided about 1/8"...

Thread protector for Quad Hunter barrel?

I recently bought a "SAKO Quad Hunting Barrel" from Beretta. The thread protector is absolute flimsy junk- was afraid I would ruin it putting it back on after doing the initial cleaning. According...

Update:
I ordered a 17 HM2 barrel for my Quad- the Beretta site showed a Hunter barrel, without sights, for the Quad but what I received had sights. Sako lists plug screws for the barrel but none...

Me too

My new Quad was shaving bullets right out of the box. I sent detailed pics of damaged bullets and lead shavings on the front of the bolt to Beretta CS, but they would not even hazard a guess why the...

FWIW, a 5/32 will sub nicely for a 4 mm...now that you have the metric key.

5/32=0.15625"=3.96875mm

This is a handy table if you get caught short...

Seasoning a new barrel vs fouling with lube

I've read opinions stating that a new .22LR barrel needs 500-1000 rounds put through it before its real potential can be seen. A rep from IBI said that performance of the IBI match barrel I had...

Don't want to hijack this thread but Dough makes a good point. Does anyone take the bolt out before putting the rifle in the safe? If so, how do you store the bolts- i.e., in a cloth bag, etc.?...
