IN all honesty, the AO would be set at the range of the shot, say 60 yards, if by chance a treerat appears at 20 yards, he'd be out of focus and you would have to adjust the AO.

Well, I would suggest getting the 16.5" barrel. Anything longer is a waste as far as ballistics go. The taper is the right choice there.

The scope- IMHO the high magnification...

I have that Bolt Handle on mine and it works perfectly. No hiccups and no stovepipes. But I do have a Que workedover bolt, too.
