It's the triggers trigger guard housing..
The whole thing has some play in the frame.
Maybe that's how it was designed?

I think I'm going to really like it.
Opens up eazy peasy..
Locks up my barrels nice and tight.
Trigger is slightly heavy.. but crisp. No creep.

Well.. dropped my Savage model 14 classic off at the gunsmith.
Going for the .250 Savage Ackley Improved.
