I got my 10/22 mainly because it is MUCH cheaper to shoot than my other toys. It's quieter, lighter, cheaper to shoot, doesn't kick as much and LOTS of aftermarket parts to play with...etc. ...

My bipod is a Rock Steady brand one, it's @ $40 at Wal-Mart. It attaches to the front sling swivel stud. Easy on, Easy off. So far, I like it quite a bit.
